About The Role:
The Head of Flight Test Operations leads all flying activities at Malloy, leading and overseeing a team delivering both deployed and domestic UAV operations across production, training, test and customer trials domains. Ensures operational safety, efficient operations and regulatory compliance across all flying activities. The Head of Flight Test Operations is the owner of all regulatory and governance documentation for UK flying operations—including civil and military contexts—covering OSC, OA, SORA, CFAOS and OFCOM, acting as the primary regulatory liaison with authorities such as the CAA, MAA, AAIB, and NATS.

Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK

What you’ll being doing (but not limited to):

  • Lead Flight Ops (FLOPS) strategy and aviation governance across all flight operations, including production, test, demonstration, and development activities including provision of air operations & compliance information into SLT.
  • Own the company’s flight operations governance documentation (e.g. OSC, OA, CFAOS, SORA), contributing towards its generation as required to ensure that flight operations enable the business to achieve its strategy.
  • Submit operational & technical variations, and site-specific flying permissions to the company’s OSC & OA.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulations governing UAV flight safety, airworthiness, airspace use, and crew qualifications.
  • Ensure training (both internal and external/customer) can be delivered safely, legally and efficiently. 
  • Oversee the readiness, provision and safety of aircraft, ground equipment, personnel, and facilities used in flight operations.
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies (e.g. UK CAA) for aviation approvals, exemptions, and operational authorisations.
  • Provide line management for Chief Pilot cadre, including personal development and performance reviews.
  • Coordinate with engineering and test teams to plan and approve flight trials, ensuring safe and controlled execution.
  • Conduct or supervise aviation risk assessments, pre-flight briefings, pre-trials briefs, post-flight reviews, and airworthiness inspections.
  • Lead or participate in incident response, crash investigation, and post-incident reporting as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of aircraft status, flight logs, maintenance records, and operational approvals.
  • Support pilot training, authorisation management, and crew certification processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in aviation safety culture, operational efficiency, and compliance processes.
  • Chair or contribute to safety and airfield meetings, representing the aviation discipline internally and externally.
  • Ensure adherence to SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) policy across all aviation activities.
  • Provide technical guidance to teams on matters such as NOTAMs, airspace restrictions, and safe UAV operations.
  • Coordinate crew, aircraft, support equipment and T&S activities in collaboration with the Chief Operations Pilot to ensure sufficient resource allocation to meet company flying activity.
  • Develop daily/weekly/monthly flight test schedules in coordination with engineering, operations and programme management.
     

Additional Accountabilities:

Budget Responsibilities:

  • Financial DOA for ad-hoc unapproved spend, expenses/T&S and IT in accordance with the latest issue of the Financial Delegation of Authority document.

  • Capable of maintaining high-quality documentation and audit trails for aircraft and personnel.
  • Regulatory Liaison, Compliance, Audit Preparation & Permissions Management - Confident in engaging with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and customers on aviation matters.

  • Formal training in aviation safety, risk management, or quality assurance.
     

Desired Skills and Experiences:

  • 10 years in aviation flight operations, ideally in the unmanned sector.
  • Deep understanding of (UK & international) Aviation & UAS Regulatory Frameworks (e.g. UK CAA CAP 722, GVC, OSC, SORA).
  • Deep understanding of UK and international regulatory bodies: MAA, CAA, AAIB, NATS, OFCOM, EASA, JARUS, foreign NAA’s. 
  • Knowledge of UAV systems, flight operations, and risk-based operating models (e.g. SORA, PDRA).
  • Familiarity with aircraft systems, maintenance requirements, and airworthiness documentation.
  • Strong understanding of flying, Mission Planning, and Air Operations Execution including airspace classifications, , Flight Crew Licencing, NOTAMs & Promulgation, and coordination with relevant authorities.
  • Understanding of flight test planning, data capture, and test team roles/responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of aviation safety management systems and incident reporting frameworks.

About The Role:
In this role, you will manufacture, assemble and test electrical looms and harnesses for our unmanned vehicles, with a strong focus on precision crimping and soldering of connectors across a range of sizes. You will install electrical harnesses onto chassis bodies using wiring diagrams and support the electromechanical assembly of vehicle components and sub assemblies. The position also involves training and assisting colleagues as needed.

We are recruiting multiple candidates at various skill levels, from junior to senior, all of whom must have experience in the essential technical competencies listed.

Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK

What you’ll being doing (but not limited to):

  • Set up and build of looms and harness assemblies from wiring diagrams.Crimping and soldering small gauge connectors for signals and grounding against drawings.
  • Crimping and soldering high gauge ring terminals and power connections against drawings.
  • Manual techniques such as cutting and stripping cables and application of heat shrink as required.
  • Prioritise tasks to ensure product manufacture and delivery, to schedule.
  • Validation of Bill of Material against drawing and existing stock.
  • Plan for future production requirements, pre-empting stock availability issues and stock holding to minimise impact on production and delivery schedules.
  • Visual examination and quality control of completed harnesses prior to integration.
  • Assist with the development of new capabilities and new systems or applications for the product.
  • Installation of looms and harnesses into aircraft structure.
  • Use hand and electrically operated power tools with precision and dexterity in a safe manner.


Essential Skills and Experiences:

  • Able to demonstrate hands on experience in previous roles as a wiring technician, or equivalent, in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience with crimping in-line, and/or bulkhead connectors, ideally to IPC620 or equivalent standard.
  • Experience with soldering in-line, PCB mount and/or bulkhead connectors, ideally to IPC620/IPC610 or equivalent standard.
  • Experience manufacturing wiring looms to a specification given by an engineering drawing.
  • Experience with harnessing integration from wiring diagrams.
     

Desired Skills and Experiences:

  • Knowledge and experience of manufacturing to wiring standards (e.g IPC / WHMA - A - 620).
  • Experience drawing wiring diagrams and/or engineering drawings.
  • Experience working with engineering to suggest solutions.
  • Experience working with harnessing installation on aircraft, vehicles, or products.
  • Consider process or product improvement (health and safety, and efficiency) in the course of daily duties.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Stock validation and identify minimum stock levels for re-order triggers.
  • Must be adaptable, flexible and open to change in a fast-paced business.

Malloy aeronautics is looking for a manual machinist to support continued company growth via our small machine shop. We are looking for a motivated and skilled Machinist to join our team. 

Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK

What you’ll being doing:

  • Program and set 3-axis VMC using machining strategies at the machine and / or off-line from 3D data.
  • Demonstrable experience in manual or CNC turning in either plastics or metallics.
  • Positive attitude - able to communicate good practises / ideas to designers and technicians.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings such that machined parts meet required specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
  • Prioritise and schedule work according to deadlines, ensuring effective use of machine time and sensible workflow.
  • Experience of MiG / arc welding of simple assemblies.

About The Role:
Responsible for supporting the manufacturing, assembly, and testing of electronic systems used in UAV platforms. Acts as the key link between design engineering and production, ensuring that electronic components and assemblies are built to specification, are testable, and meet quality and performance requirements. Works closely with technicians, design engineers, and supply chain teams to improve build processes, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure repeatability and reliability in the final product.

Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK.

What you’ll being doing (but not limited to):

  • Support the assembly and production of PCBAs, wiring looms, and electronic modules used across UAV systems.
  • Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), build instructions, and test guides.
  • Investigate and resolve build issues, non-conformances, or test failures in production batches.
  • Collaborate with electronics design engineers to improve DFM (Design for Manufacture) and DFT (Design for Test) practices.
  • Create and maintain wiring diagrams, test reports, and traceability documentation for regulatory and quality compliance.
  • Define and optimise production tooling, test rigs, and custom fixtures to streamline assembly processes.
  • Perform or support functional testing, continuity checks, and basic debugging of circuit assemblies.
  • Track build status, yield, and rework metrics to support production performance monitoring.
  • Contribute to the selection of production methods and equipment for new electronic designs.
  • Support continuous improvement in build quality, reliability, and efficiency across electronics production workflows.
  • Procurements machinery for PCB development and manufacture – develop business cases to ensure full justification for capital investments.

  • Extensive knowledge on PCB and how they are manufactured.
  • PCB rework and assembly experience.
  • Good understanding of PCB layout, component types, circuit functionality, and common failure modes.
  • Knowledge of test procedures, validation steps, and fault isolation methods for electronics.
  • Understanding of BOM structures, engineering change control, and traceability requirements.
  • Good working knowledge of coding languages – C/C++, Python, Power Query etc.
  • Experience in low-volume/high-reliability industries such as aerospace, automotive, or robotics.
  • Awareness of UAV subsystems (e.g. power distribution, flight control, telemetry) and their integration requirements.
  • Familiarity with electronic manufacturing processes, soldering standards (e.g. IPC), and ESD precautions.
  • Experience with PCB designing – DFM/DFA process involvement. 
     

Qualifications

  • HNC/HND or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in electronics production, test, R&D, design or manufacturing support roles.
  • Desirable: IPC certification or training in soldering, rework, or inspection standards.

About The Role:
We are recruiting for a Procurement Manager who will work as an integral part of a Malloy Procurement Supply Chain team:

  • Experienced subject matter expert with extensive procurement knowledge.
  • Accountable for delivering cost, delivery and quality targets for allocated area of spend, directly contributing to business objectives and financial performance. 
  • Accountable for leading a team of professionals, managing a project, contract or specific work package of spend
  • Works with the team and cross functionally to drive procurement solutions, requiring the job holder to plan, deliver and deploy appropriate procurement interventions and resource in support of business aims.
  • Manages supplier relationship for allocated area of responsibility. 
  • Utilises market insight, external and internal best practice to drive business change. 
  • First level manager of professionals, responsible for leading a team that manages a complex order book, supplier, category or contract or very experienced professional with extensive knowledge of a discipline. 
  • Leads procurement activity across defined categories, contracts, or customer portfolios, operating within complex environments shaped by evolving demand requirements, supplier capability and performance, market dynamics, and diverse stakeholder expectations. Manages high-value, high-volume spend portfolios, with accountability for strategically critical work packages that have a direct and material impact on business financial performance.

What you’ll being doing (but not limited to):

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to deliver strategic purchasing outcomes and ensure the timely availability of materials to support manufacturing operations.
  • Respond with agility to urgent requirements, securing materials to support research and development activities within tight timelines.

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of Company systems (SAP), including purchase to pay systems, risk and supplier management tools.
  • Support the development and implementation of procurement strategy, governance and innovative change programmes, ensuring consistency and effective improvement in procurement services, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and the sharing of best practices.
  • Lead and influence cross-business/cross-functional team(s), providing expertise and delivery of business requirements
  • Lead and manage the risk and opportunity activities to minimise contractual exposure and maximise contract effectiveness.

About The Role: 
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will be reporting to the Software Engineering Manager as an embedded systems developer. This role will focus on the development of batteries from a set of requirements to production product. This role suits an engineer who has a broad skillset across battery design elements and enjoys spending time hands-on building and testing.

What you’ll being doing:

  • Leading the physical design of Malloy’s battery platforms developing packs from a concept stage to production.
  • Interface with other engineering groups on collaborative projects to deconflict integration issues and execute against project plans.
  • Developing test and validation plans for battery packs, and analysing test data to refine pack design
  • Developing prototype and/or concept battery packs with novel technologies

  • Experience designing for high voltage applications and relevant practical high voltage training (preferably SAP/level 3)

About The Role:
The Engineering Manager – Avionics & Robotics provides specialist engineering expertise and functional leadership for multidisciplinary engineers developing avionics and robotic systems. The role is responsible for technical direction, people leadership, and engineering excellence, while also contributing to the successful delivery of selected programs and projects. This position balances long-term capability development with near-term execution, ensuring solutions are safe, compliant, high-quality, and aligned with organisational objectives.
Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK

What you’ll being doing (but not limited to):

  • Provide specialist engineering expertise and direct functional leadership to avionics and robotics engineers, including performance management, coaching, and professional development
  • Identify, lead and manage relevant business partnerships and sub-contracts
  • Set and maintain technical standards, processes, and best practices across avionics and robotics disciplines
  • Guide and contribute to development of system architectures, design decisions, and technical trade-offs in collaboration with principal engineers and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace, safety, and regulatory standards throughout the development lifecycle
  • Support and lead project delivery for assigned programs, including planning, risk management, and resolution of technical issues
  • Collaborate with product, programme, and operations teams to align engineering priorities with business objectives
  • Ensure appropriate and effective application of the Engineering policies, the Engineering Life Cycle and their manifestation in Design Reviews and Technical Bid Reviews. Organise and lead design reviews as required
  • Build and maintain a high-performing engineering culture focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement Essential Skills and Experiences:
  • Priory engineering experience in relevant discipline, including several roles in a lead or management role
  • Specialist in avionics systems, embedded systems, and/or robotic control architectures

This fixed term contract is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy warehouse environment and enjoys practical, hands-on work. You will need to be physically fit as some lifting of heavy boxes and parts will be necessary. 

  • Experience in goods-in/goods-out and stock control
  • Check deliveries before signing for received goods
  • Understand the need to working in a safe and clean environment
  • Dealing with multiple internal and external personnel including delivery drivers
  • Consciousness and diligence
     

Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK

  • Preparing goods for dispatch
  • Moving and distributing stock to correct locations (manual lifting to 25kg)
  • Supporting day-to-day warehouse operations

  • Check and report details of goods returned by customers
  • Load and unload goods into/from vehicles/containers
