About The Role:
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will be reporting to the Software Engineering Manager as an embedded systems developer. Responsible for integration of hardware and software, this exciting role will place the right candidate at the forefront of unmanned air systems development in the UK.
We seek someone looking to support in the development and verification of flight control software. You will be supporting in the delivery of engineering outputs including software requirements, software design, software implementation and software testing. About The Role:

About The Role:
Reporting to the Chief Operations Pilot, the successful candidate will be fulfilling a diverse range of flying tasking within an industry leading UAS company, on some of the largest and most advanced uncrewed Air Systems in the world.
The role will include production testing of newly manufactured UAVs, trials flying to explore the envelope of new and nascent designs, instructing both military and civil clients from all over the world to operate our platforms and demonstration flying to showcase our products and their capabilities to new customers. This tasking is often away from our home site, and the role offers fantastic opportunity for travel, diverse flying tasks on a wide array of new and varied platforms, and industry leading training and professional development.
In addition to flying tasking, the successful candidate will assist in supporting the running of the flight operations department including logistics, maintenance, equipment set up and safety management, forming a vital part of safe and efficient operation of our aircraft both on the ground and in the air.

What we are looking for (but not limited to):
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation of UAV experience including flying in manual modes on Specific category (S2) platforms, preferably more than 50 Hours solo flight. BVLOS experience is highly desirable. Flight Testing or demonstration experience would also be incredibly valued.
Any experience of maritime / marine operations, flight testing and flight trials would all be of substantial value. Experience in the military UAS realm or commercial sector would further be highly desirable, but candidates from all backgrounds who meet the requisite standard for interview will be considered.
The right candidate must also be highly flexible to support operational tasking both at home and overseas. An ability to quickly assimilate and retain new information is likewise vital to keep up with a fast-paced operational tempo, and to support the continued development and rapid prototyping of new products fielded to respond to new challenges, and emerging opportunities.
Given the requisite responsibility for the safe conduct of their flying operations, they must be able to deliver tasking independently, including demonstrating robust decision-making skills and an exemplary approach to safety. About The Role: The Programme Manager (Prototype Aircraft) leads the delivery of Malloy’s early-lifecycle aircraft programmes—transforming concepts into flight-worthy, demonstrable prototype platforms. This includes the first-of-type builds for new UAS configurations, experimental variants of the T-Series, hybrid demonstrators, payload-specific prototypes, and special-mission or customer-sponsored prototype aircraft.
The postholder owns the end-to-end programme delivery: rapid design cycles, integration, build, ground test, flight test, and customer demonstration. They operate in a fast-paced environment where technical ambiguity is high, and decisions must be made quickly and responsibly.
This role bridges R&D outputs with future production-grade aircraft, ensuring prototype programmes de-risk capability, validate performance, and provide evidence-based roadmaps for industrialisation.

About The Role:
The Commercial function has a key role in shaping business solutions by developing innovative Commercial constructs which deliver value for shareholders and customers. The Commercial Officer role will be a key part of the team, based at our Maidenhead facility. The main duties will include providing Commercial support to development of relationships with new and existing customers, review and drafting of contract terms and conditions, preparation of prices and proposals for customers, generating internal clearance paperwork in accordance with our governance policies and supporting the execution of contracts.

- Provide commercial support and contract administration support to Malloy projects

In this role, you will manufacture, assemble and test electrical looms and harnesses for our unmanned vehicles, with a strong focus on precision crimping and soldering of connectors across a range of sizes. You will install electrical harnesses onto chassis bodies using wiring diagrams and support the electromechanical assembly of vehicle components and sub assemblies. The position also involves training and assisting colleagues as needed. We are recruiting multiple candidates at various skill levels, from junior to senior, all of whom must have experience in the essential technical competencies listed.

- Set up and build of looms and harness assemblies from wiring diagrams.
- Crimping and soldering small gauge connectors for signals and grounding against drawings.
- Crimping and soldering high gauge ring terminals and power connections against drawings.
- Manual techniques such as cutting and stripping cables and application of heat shrink as required.
- Prioritise tasks to ensure product manufacture and delivery, to schedule.
- Validation of Bill of Material against drawing and existing stock.
- Plan for future production requirements, pre-empting stock availability issues and stock holding to minimise impact on production and delivery schedules.
- Visual examination and quality control of completed harnesses prior to integration.
- Assist with the development of new capabilities and new systems or applications for the product.
- Installation of looms and harnesses into aircraft structure.
- Use hand and electrically operated power tools with precision and dexterity in a safe manner.

- Able to demonstrate hands on experience in previous roles as a wiring technician, or equivalent,
- Experience in an engineering discipline.
- Experience with crimping in-line, and/or bulkhead connectors, ideally to IPC620 or equivalent standard.
- Experience with soldering in-line, PCB mount and/or bulkhead connectors, ideally to IPC620/IPC610 or equivalent standard.
- Experience manufacturing wiring looms to a specification given by an engineering drawing.

About the role:
We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Senior Communications Advisor based at Malloy Aeronautics business. Your role will be to support the development and delivery of external communications strategies and activities to promote FalconWorks®’ growing portfolio of uncrewed systems and products across our entity businesses – to actively seek out and develop stories for external use (across all channels) that positively position the work we are doing across our key markets, including the UK.
You will work flexibly with the wider FalconWorks® and BAE Systems team members to support the development of good news stories, proactive creation and delivery of effective, integrated and targeted communications strategies and activities across key areas of our entity businesses in support of targeted communications activity and in support of product promotion and business winning activity.

Monitors aircraft performance in-flight, designs autonomous flight profiles, and handles post-flight data logging to support system validation and delivery readiness. A UAS Engineer is responsible for the design, development, integration, and testing of unmanned aerial vehicle systems. The role focuses on delivering reliable, flight-ready platforms by integrating airframes, propulsion systems, avionics, sensors, communications, and flight control software.
The engineer will work across the full UAS development lifecycle, from prototype design and subsystem selection to system integration, flight testing, and performance optimisation. - Development and integration of UAS communications solutions including telemetry radios, IP networking, VPNs, peer-to-peer networks and SATCOM-connected architectures.
- Design and integration of UAS electrical power systems including power distribution, redundancy, filtering, inrush protection and power budgeting including with respect to EMI/EMC requirements.
- Practical debugging skills for data networks, electrical networks, distributed embedded software and data-path networks, and control systems.
- Use of modelling, simulation and analysis tools to support system design, subsystem integration and performance assessment.
- Flight log, telemetry and flight test data analysis to identify system behaviour, diagnose faults and support performance optimisation.
- Mechanical integration of airborne subsystems, including packaging, mounting, vibration mitigation and mass distribution, supported by CAD/FEA where required.

Engineering Skills
- Translation of mission and stakeholder needs into practical UAS architecture, subsystem selection and integration decisions.
- Conduct of engineering trade studies across performance, endurance, reliability, payload effects and SWaP-C constraints.
- Root cause analysis and structured diagnosis and resolution of cross-domain integration issues spanning mechanical, electrical, software, controls and communications.
- Assessment of subsystem interactions and emergent behaviours in tightly coupled UAS platforms.
- Definition of verification approaches and success criteria for subsystem, integration, ground and flight test activity.
- Management of technical interfaces between disciplines and effective arbitration of competing engineering constraints.
- Application of systems engineering methods to requirements, interfaces, integration and validation in complex UAS programmes.
- Engineering judgement in balancing performance, safety, robustness and development pace during prototype and pre-production phases.
- Typical software validation flows and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. unit tests, SITL/HITL integrations).

Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in one of the following:
- UxS Engineering or Autonomous Vehicle Engineering
- Aerospace Engineering
- Robotics
- Mechatronics
- Demonstrable hands-on industrial/commercial UAS development experience.
- Experience with system-level UxS integration across mechanical, electrical and software domains.
- Experience with integration of avionics, communications, payloads, power and mission systems.
- Experience with sensor fusion and navigation systems.
- Experience with UAS flight control algorithm design and tuning and system level control.
- Experience with UxS autonomy, automation or mission management architectures.
- Experience with integrating, calibrating and optimising UxS sensors and payloads within SWaP-C constraints.
- Experience with Engineering lifecycle approaches, requirements, configuration control and traceability.
- Experience with flight testing and analysis of flight test data.
Desirable
- Experience with PX4 and/or ArduPilot ecosystems
- Experience integrating companion computers (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi)
- Experience with ROS or robotics frameworks
- UAS pilot certification or operational experience
- Experience with UAS system level and sub-system level modelling.
